McGuireTutoring specialises in academic English language instruction for
learners of English as an additional language across Scotland. We focus on helping students develop the
academic writing, communication, presentation, and study skills required to succeed in Higher Education.
Alongside Academic English, we also provide specialist Psychology and Sociology tutoring at National 5,
Higher, Advanced Higher, undergraduate, and postgraduate level, as well as private academic mentoring
for families seeking structured educational support.
Academic English students receive tailored
support designed to improve clarity, confidence, and fluency in academic contexts, alongside guidance
with university applications and CV writing where required. A concessionary rate is available for
Ukrainian students. We also offer essay proofreading, critical feedback, research guidance, and
one-to-one academic mentoring, helping students develop advanced analytical and academic skills in a
structured and supportive environment.
